Description
Participants are explained that they will use the Internet as a tool for their research. In doing so, we ask them how many of them use certain websites, how many of them also use social media as a mainsozurce of information.
We then divide them into a subgroups of approx. 4 members and send them to research the pages and media that have published their contributions for the certain social groups (e.g immigrants, disabled, homosexuals, etc). Each individual group should research their assigned social group.
Particular attention should be paid to subtle missleading or offensive messages and information whose purpose is to influence public opinion.
Participants should also use the right methodology on the basis of which we can more easily identify false and misleading information.
After completing the assignment, a guided discussion and the resulting conclusions and recommendations follow.
