Objectives

The main objective is to reflect and be aware of cultural competences of participant.

Description

Culture is a term describing not only the race, ethnicity or ancestry, but also culture shared between people (our biases, beliefs, norms).

To be open to other cultures is important in globalized world. In connection to the overcoming and disclosing the biases in articles and messages, we need to have a high level of cultural competences, or at least be aware of our biases and prejudices in deferent cultures.

Participant is asked to open Handout and evaluate statements about his/her cultural awareness, knowledge, and skills.
